Courteney Woollands
Courteney Woollands is currently a fine art graduate student from Leeds Arts University. Before university she studied fine art, graphic design and games design at college before going on to study an extra year and achieving a foundation diploma in fine art. Her work has been featured in digital and physical galleries such as Mall Galleries in London and spoken work scratch night in Paris. Her work has experimented in many themes from painting her experience working in bars to most recently creating artworks relating to her sexual experiences.
Over the years Courteney has been a very experimental artist ranging from painting to etching to pen work but her work always seems to fall back to having darker elements as she has always loved playing with the darker contrast in her pieces rather than ones with high saturations of colour. Recently she has also gone back to one of her old practices of transferring her artworks onto clear tape for the pieces to be manipulated further by burning and tearing.
